Best place for eyebrows

I've read a lot of threads recently about the importance of eyebrow grooming. Can anyone recommend where I can go? My eyebrows are thinner than they used to be so I don't want them hacked away at to make them even thinner, just nicely shaped. And maybe a tint.

My advice (based on personal experience) is go to an Asian threader if you can for the shaping aspect. Its no coincidence that Asian ladies generally have fabulous eyebrows, and very, very rarely sport the shocked sperm shape!

Check out the eyebrows of the lady doing the threading. Chances are if her eyebrows are elegant, yours will be too!

How do I find a threader??

Nearly all beauty salons offer eyebrow threading as an option these days. Also most high streets will have an Asian beauty salon, these are generally your best bet.

sorry wanted to post 'just above your eyes' but realised that this would be a) unhelpful and b) incredibly juvenile Smile

Grin StepAway I was coming here to post similar but I see you beat me to it! I was even going to specify an approximate distance from pupil. and also suggest they were best left far away from the backs of hands.

lurking thank goodness i have found a fellow juvenile Grin great minds think alike I believe (or fools think in pairs as my DM used to say)

lurkingaround · 27/08/2015 22:35

Grin oh great minds!

Benefit. I don't always go there as its a little more pricey than small local places but they do a top notch job.

Do the Asian beauty places do tinting as well?

blib do you mean having them done at the benefit counter? Or do they have salons?

Debenhams and Superdrug have threaders in their shops. All the ones I have been to were Asian.

At Superdrug you just pay at the till and present your receipt to the threader.

BrandNewAndImproved · 28/08/2015 09:13

I go to an Asian beauty place that to look at looks like a phone shop. They are amazing and a fraction of the price from benefit.
A fiver for the threading and a fiver for the tinting. You could buy eyebrow tint and tint it yourself after threading to save even more money but I just let them get on with it.

They also rub cream in to your forehead and by your eyes after, it's heavenly and I keep meaning to treat myself to an Indian head massage.

Lj8893 · 28/08/2015 09:14

I have had my eyebrows threaded at all sorts of different places, the best place was at beales in Poole. Followed closely by Superdrug, although I don't think many Superdrugs offer it.

blibblobblub · 28/08/2015 11:35

Yeah just at the counter. I don't know if they all do it but I think you can check on their website. I get mine done at one in Debenhams.
