Job Interview - What to wear?

So,

I'm interviewing for a position within the company I work for.

It would be a step up, and something I really want. Something I genuinely think I would be good at, and a good move for the company.

When I last interviewed it was for a lower position, and I was somewhat a different shape (yes shape, I had a flat stomach, now I'm still the same size but with a distended stomach for reasons unknown). I wore black trousers, and a pretty top.

This new position will involve meeting with healthcare professionals, and going to the head office.
The current manager (male) wears grey trousers and either a white/black teeshirt, or a white shirt.

What is currently fashionable to interview in? What would be too much/too little? I mean, are pant suits still in?

Don't buy a suit if you'll never wear it again. I interview lots of candidates for high end PA roles and generally they wear a smart dress and heels. Worth looking at M&S and Next.
Make sure your hair is tidy and understated jewellery and makeup.
Your outfit should reflect your future role and so should be professional and not distracting. Tights are smarter than bare legs etc. make sure skirt not too short.
