It's this one from Pretty Kitty.
It's a medium sized church wedding in Scotland and I don't really know anyone...
I showed DP and he thinks it's fine but I can't help but wonder if it appears attention seeking... Help me s&b gurus!

Blue long sleeved Hobbs £29 (only in a size 6 but Hobbs comes up big)

Purple lace £40

How cold do you think it's going to be in Scotland in October? Smile

I like it a lot, I would add the petticoat.
I wouldn't wear opaque tights, but would maybe add a fitted little jacket?

Thanks Fox, I like the first two like Brenda. But I have a dress like it already! Maybe I should wear that

I think it's fab. You can't be overdressed at a wedding. I still enjoy looking at how amazing the guests looked in my wedding photos and I'm divorced now.

I don't like it but I can't see that it's OTT.

Wear it!

"The groom etc are in kilts if that's an indication of dress code?"

It's not really, no, lol.

I'm Scottish and IME, you want to be fairly dressy really.

burnishedsilver · 26/08/2015 14:26

With a big underskirt it's ott but otherwise it's ok.

dressing like granny's sofa is fairly standard for weddings. (I hate florals...)

your call. It's fine if you don't freeze.

no age limit on clothes as long as they are not babygros.

The dress is beautiful and entirely appropriate. Wear it with some Ruby Shoos or some Irregular Choice

Bugger, a mix of opinions! I may take the chance and see. It's a bit different to my usual style but since I had my hair cut into a pixie my whole wardrobe has shifted. I tried on a 50s style dress for the first time the other day and it suited me! Saw the seller being liked on FB and had a browse... Landed me here asking for advice. Thank you for all the suggestions.
