BB or CC cream??

I'm after some advice as to which to buy. I'd like to replace my foundation with a BB or CC cream for everyday use but am completely baffled by it all. what's the difference? Also what brand is best?
I'm 30 with goodish skin. I have developed a red blemish on my cheek which is annoying so I need something to cover that up. I have pale skin that never tans. Currently use MAC studio fix fluid in NW13 or MAC studio fix powder plus foundation in NW20 x

CC creams are generally better for colour correcting so that will help the red blemish.

I recently discovered the l'oreal one which comes out green and covers my rosacea perfectly but it might be too dark if you are pale, you'd have to try it out.

Bourjois CC cream is very good, CC creams are more for colour correction and evening out skintone. I've tried both CC and BB creams, they all feel like tinted moisturisers on me really.
