How on earth do I put in a fancy hair comb?

So it actually stays in my hair & doesn't fall out within seconds?

bit of backcombing in the layer under the area the comb is to be...squirt of hair spray

and then don't you sort of comb them through and then flip them over and into the hair

god it's been ages, since I use a haircomb, they were All The Rage at my school for us girls. Keeping our greasy locks off our pimply foreheads.

I thought you were meant to put it in sort of into the hair & then flip it to see the fancy bit but can't get it to stay put Confused

I'll try a bit of backcombing and hairspray in the morning.

There are some pretty, sparkly, ones in Primark for a few quid atm. I was going to pick up a couple more if I master this one since I can't master anything more than dry & straighten my hair Hmm

Freshly washed and styled hair can be too slippy, I'd skoosh on some dry shampoo to give the comb something to grab onto then slide in facedown, turn over and push it back on its self until it's embedded in your skull

Thanks MyHearts, I've just clipped my hair up today so will try it on day old hair with a bit of dry shampoo later on Smile

If I'm wearing one on the side of my head, I twist a little bit of hair and use two Kirby grips crossing over each other to secure that, then use the twisted hair as the place to put the comb into (not sure if that makes sense!)

It does! I'd not have thought to try grips to hold it in place. Good thinking Smile
