please help me find a new bag for work

I'm going back to work next month after maternity leave and am looking for a new bag. I'm really not sure what to get, and before I left, I was carting around several bags at one time as I seem to take an awful lot of stuff! My main concern with a bag is that my water/ice packs are separate from my electronics in case of leakage. I was wondering about a smart-ish backpack but not sure? Or would two separate bags be the best option? Any ideas?

My budget is tight (around £50) but I could possibly use one of my existing bags if someone found a great lunch bag for example.

Colour wise I prefer brown/tan but not super fussed as long as it's not too garish. I like florals too. Not a fan of cheap looking bags (I know....my budget is cheap!) or anything with fake metal bits on it.

Things I need to take are:

  • lunch plus ice packs to keep it cool
  • 2 bottles of water
  • ipad
  • phone
  • e-reader
  • charging cables
  • medication
  • tissues
  • sanpro
  • umbrella (sometimes)
  • pen/notepad
  • small odds and end (nothing major - hand sanitiser, gum etc)

If anyone has seen anything that may be suitable I will be very grateful indeed!

There are loads of nice tote bags around at the moment.
Someone on this board suggested Mia tui - they have internal pockets for water bottles etc.
Or you can get inserts for tote bags which have pockets for drinks etc - I got mine from eBay.

Thank you curtains both of those ideas sound really useful. Hadn't heard of the mia tui bags but they look pretty good and are in my price range Smile
