Shoes off under desk / around office

Hi,

Starting a new job art the beginning of Sept.

I tend to slip off my shoes whenever I can and am used to doing this in the office where I currently work.

Is it acceptable as in my new job as long as I put them on when clients come in?

Always take care of my grooming, but just hate wearing shoes indoors!!

What the hell? Not this old chestnut again!

Office = shoes. Sorry, but you are not at home!

Why is it horrid? I walk outside in bare feet too.

Grow up, or buy some comfortable shoes then.

My jeans are too tight shall I walk around the office in just my knickers until a customer turns up?

I take mine off but only when I'm wearing shoes (as opposed to boots or Birkies).

From Autumn through to Spring I wear boots at work, either ankle or knee high, and have no problem keeping them on all the time.

In the Summer I wear Birkies as much as I can get away with (we're supposed to wear enclosed footwear) but when I wear shoes I tend to kick them off at every opportunity. They just seem so enclosed, hot and horrible. I would quickly put them on though if someone else came in to the office or I went to the kitchen or photocopier.
