Shellac - is this normal ?

I had shellac nails done nearly two weeks ago. I was looking to book next week for soak off and redo for holiday.

Anyhow index finger one started coming away so I peeled it off - managed to do the rest too without much effort. Is this normal ? Nails ne'er neath just look bare and feel a bit rough where she buffed them prior to the base type coat

Shellac usually last 10-14 days is on me. So lifting at around 2 week point (especially if you wash your hands a lot/don't use gloves when washing up) isn't a shocker. If applied properly, Shellac shouldn't need the nail to be buffed in advance. But the roughness is more likely due to your peeling it off and taking the top few layers of nail with it than the buffing though. Peeling/picking it off isn't great for the nail underneath.
