Boots!

I am in need of a pair of smartish knee length boots. I have looked on-line and I have seen tan, brown, grey, black, suede, leather....
Getting a bit giddy.
I don't want them to be completely flat but I need to be able to walk, so no higher than around 3 inches.
I have a budget of up to around £200. I like the ones in Hush www.hush-uk.com/footwear_2/footwear/boots/tall_boot_grey.htm but can't decide between grey or tan, also like www.mintvelvet.co.uk/tan-angie-long-boot/new-in/mint-v/fcp-product/5752, in both colours, plus they are much cheaper than the Hush ones.
Which ones, I need to decide please ...

Would the black boots go with a denim shirt dress and a denim midi length skirt?
Every other skirt/dress in my wardrobe is black,grey or burgundy (I have decluttered)

I usually carry a tan or a red satchel. Don't own any black bags..

I prefer the mv pair. Personally I'd go for the black. You could wear them with a tan or a red bag. I dont think the tan boots would work with a red bag. Having said that, the tan looks more on trend with the 70s vibe.

I'm veering towards the grey Hush pair

Grey works well with everything you've mentioned except the tan bag. Could you order a hush pair and a mv pair to see which calf width fits you better?

I could order both, but then I would be tempted to keep them. I like the brown MV pair and the grey Hush ones.

Brown MV pair get my vote! It's a shame that the black pair isn't smooth leather like the brown.

I got those Hush ones last year in taupe, they go with blacks, browns, greys, pretty much everything really.

Comfortable too.
