I don't think I've ever posted in this topic but here goes.
I'm going to a family wedding soon and I've finally found a dress I like. My problem is I'm useless with fashion and coordinating colours.
My dress is a burgundy Sally May dress from Lindy bop. I've got some black high heeled court shoes to wear for the daytime and some black gladiator sandals for the evening, I know the sandles don't really match the style of the dress but they're more comfortable than the shoes and I won't care by the evening reception.
I need help with makeup and nails to go with the dress. I usually only wear makeup for things like weddings and nights out, usually eyeshadow in either nude tones or grey with black eyeliner and a deep red lipstick. Will the nude look be okay? I prefer the grey tones but don't know if it'll look too heavy for during the day.
The other help is with my nails, I'm painting them myself as I can't stand acrylics and can't afford them anyway. I want to wear a colour but it don't know what colour would go with the dress other than burgundy but I think that might look too matchy iyswim.
