What cover up with this dress for a wedding?

I have this pretty dress in my wardrobe. I think it would be great for a wedding I'm going to in a couple of weeks. I know the dress is fairly relaxed but I'm not an important part of the wedding party so don't particularly need a satin fish tailed dress with bolero for this one.

The issue will be if it gets cold. What would you recommend as a cover up?
And which colour?

Also shoes? i have a kitten heel in ivory, but am consider red pumps.

my hair is pretty much the colour and style of the model there, but alas my figure is not.

TIA

Beautiful dress never......., If it was me I would stick with a cream/ivory pashmina and the ivory kitten heels.

Perhaps try something like this with the kitten heels.

I have my doubts about red shoes with that colour dress.

I also thought of a smartish short jacket, though a pashmina would be fine if you already have one or it suits your budget better.

I'd stick to ivory but have red lipstick!

great suggestions thanks.

I own 17 cardigans. None in ivory/cream! Dress looks lovely with some of them; lime green, mustard yellow but not particularly weddingy.

Pashmina's i have in cadbury's purple, chocolate brown, and a salmony/dusky pink or a 'lizard grey' but it has a bit of sparkle to it.

That jacket is very nice too.

Yes to red lipstick.

The girl in the picture has a lovely pale green scarf in her hand. Possibly less matchy matchy than going with ivory.

How does the chocolate brown lashing look with it?

The scarf in her hand is coming up as cream on my phone. Maybe I'm seeing the dress colour differently too.

ooh i really like the jacket having looked at it for too long.

it's not compatable with an 18 month snotty baby is it?!?!?

maybe it is cream.

the chocolate pashmina looks pretty good actually but maybe doesn't show yup the dress colour brilliantly. but that might be my chronic need to wear contrasting colours. it's an affliction. ie. chartreuse would look pretty good imo.

Well that's your outfit sorted then, for around £5 Grin

nevergooglebrandybutter · 17/08/2015 17:24

that was easy. forget the cover up , red lips and chartreuse nails. perfect.Grin

I'm going to investigate the jacket/pashmina/cardigan situation
seems you all agree on ivory.
