Can I use Febreeze on Leather?

Just that really, old story, eBay bargain leather bag. Didn't check that it was "smoke free". LOVE the bag, but its a bit stinky, no overpoweringly, but i'd prefer it not to be.

It's probably the lining which is holding the odour, which presumably isn't leather.

I had exactly the same problem with an eBay leather bag; I just wiped the exterior with a damp cloth but saturated the lining with Febreze several times, and the smell eventually disappeared.

It's not lined. Just a big floppy leather pouch.
