26E/28DD bra hunt

So I have done a bra intervention (thank you ladies) my size is 26E. Although I have only been able to find 28DD bras (which seem to fit okay). But all the 28DD bras are teenage/first bras. I like a bit of padding (full bottom, empty at the top due to breastfeeding). Also have a small budget. Am I asking too much?Sad

I'm a 28F and buy mine at Bravissimo or, now I know what styles I like, I get them cheaper (but not much) from Amazon.
Panache bras come up a bit smaller than other brands but I find they fit me better.

panache tango 2 balconette. 28dd. Try ebay. Bet that works for you!
( not padded but a lovely lace pattern full cup. Does the job beautifully )

I'm 28E (28.5" under bust) - I like Cleo Juna balconette which is lightly padded and I also get along with M&S Love Rosie padded plunge in a 30D. I personally sent Panache Tango back as it didn't do anything for me. I'm empty top/full bottom and my breasts are fairly wide set.

Properly padded or push up bras in 28" don't seem exist even though I'm actually quite flat chested as a 28E.

I really like these I'm a 28ff.

28dd definitely should not be all teen bras as it is a size covered by all the big bust manufacturers. Try looking for freya, panache, cleo or curvy kate, or look at the polish brands ewa michalak and comexim

Thank you all so much. I look practically flat chested as a 26e (25 under bust and 31 over bust) wide rooted (my boobs are wide at the base) Close set the gap in between breast tissue is about a finger width) ,and not very protruding. I like the m&s plunge bras as my boobs are close set a balconette is painful (should have mentioned earlier Blush) I think I will have to invest. Thanks everyone. Smile

The bravissimo satine or curvy Kate branded plunges might suit you as they tend to be wide root friendly

Watching with interest... I sound very similar to you.
Have tried the Deco, which is I guess the best of a bad bunch...
Cleo Maddie - gapes at the top
Freya Idol... very flattening.

IdentityRequest · 15/08/2015 12:04

Also Freya Patsy, deeply unflattering...

If there are any more recommendations, please do say! I've basically given up on finding a bra that I actually look ok in...

StatisticallyChallenged · 15/08/2015 12:59

Identity, are you finding the patsyy etc flatten you? if so you probably aren't as wide and shallow as you think and need more depth to the cups. I'm guessing with the maddie gaping then you're maybe bottom heavy?

IdentityRequest · 19/08/2015 11:30

StatisticallyChallenged - you may be right! I get a bit confused trying to see what 'shape' I really am!
Yes, the Patsy was flattening, and whilst it fit, it did nothing for me at all. The Maddie gaping, I thought it was too big, but when I sized down I really just spilled out. And the centre really dug in and rode up.
I feel like I need a little uplift and shaping, but honestly haven't found anything!
