Wedding guest outfit recommendations - what do you think

Suggestions in the Telegraph here. A couple I love; a couple (eg the jumpsuit) have real potential to look awful on anyone other than a model; a couple are so loud they seem inappropriate (eg the monochrome checked prom dress). Am I over critical? Lost touch with what is suitable wedding guest attire? (I've just realized it's nearly two years since I went to a wedding, old gimmer that I am...)

I'm with you OP, I wouldn't chose any of these for a wedding. I quite like the Dolce and Gabana dress but I don't love it.

I agree, may be the first one, the pale pink dress. I don't like to see a lot of flesh showing at a wedding which seems to be popular nowadays.

Number 8 - white boucle suit - can you imagine the AIBUs on here that would generate?

I quite like the red spotty dress from Hobbs, but you would need a jacket or (awaits S&B shriek of horror) a shrug.
