Pretty Please - dress accessories help needed! (with photo)

Sorry for the pose, did it quickly this morning getting ready for work!

I have bought this dress which I really like and is so comfortable and hides all my lumps and bumps for a wedding in a couple of weeks. After a go at the dry cleaners it should hang properly after being stuffed in my wardrobe for a month…
I also bought the shoes, which were rather expensive (even though they were in the sales), hoping they would look ok with the dress, and they don’t really. I love black patent… but they don't go with this dress and I’m not sure what I need, brown/tan leather ?
I also have no idea about accessories, I am hopeless with statement things but I feel something is needed to dress it up a little ?

Please be kind and point me in the direction of things that would go with - am slightly confused

Nice dress, love the colour. I don't like the shoes with it and would choose gold personally! I think coral and gold with a tan works brilliantly. Or maybe some posh tan ones.

Am wondering if i went for something gold perhaps then flat might be better?

I'd always wear heels to a wedding, other people will wear heels.
