I've got an unexpected child free afternoon and I want to book in for a leg wax. I've got about 1 week's growth since shaving, will that be enough?!

I'm a beauty therapist & that's not quite long enough. 10 days is pushing it, 2 weeks is best.

Hair needs to be at least the length of a grain of rice - I ask for at least 2 weeks since your last shave and ideally 3 weeks, though I know growing it out is a pain. If the hair is too short the wax won't pick it up so you're wasting your money.

I did a home wax on my lower legs for the first time. When the hair growth was really short, it barely worked. When I retried after about 3 weeks, it was so much better as more of the hairs were removed.

Thanks all, I went to the salon and she confirmed exactly what you've said, needs 2 weeks' growth at least. She told me to come back in a week. Currently sweltering in jeans! Bloody legs! Angry Sad
