I'm going to wear this today. I think model is wearing it the wrong way round.

I bought this dress yesterday

www.dorothyperkins.com/en/dpuk/product/sale-offers-3422804/view-all-sale-4527816/dresses-203689/floral-bow-back-dress-4335748?bi=20&ps=20

I hope you can see the back in the photo. The dress is deep coral/ floral. It has a bow at the back but surprisingly it has a fake wrap over effect / v neck.

I've never seen that on the back of a dress before. It's stretch jersey and fits either way.

I'm proposing to wear bow to front. What do you think?

Lovely dress but would wear it bow to the back.

YouMakeMyDreams · 07/08/2015 15:03

Like boots said there is a seam down the back of the skirt it is definitely meant to be worn as in the picture.

AlisonBlunderland · 07/08/2015 15:34

Post a pic of you wearing with with bow at the front

Mummy2ben14 · 07/08/2015 16:01

I've done this recently Dowser

My mum bought me this dress www.peacocks.co.uk/womens-lace-back-tea-dress-119000.html?___store=default

However it looks SO much better with the lace to the front!!! No gaping buttons that way round

Wear the dress however you want :) You're the one that needs to feel comfortable Grin

CherryBonBon · 07/08/2015 16:03

No harm to you Mummy but that dress would look really awful worn back to front.

Nowt as queer as folk.

Mummy2ben14 · 07/08/2015 16:22

Here you go Cherry. Excuse the mum tum caused by the goat and my weird position, but as you can see the dress doesn't actually look "really awful".

If OP is comfortable wearing a dress any which way she wants, then it's her prerogative

I'm going to wear this today. I think model is wearing it the wrong way round.
RealHuman · 07/08/2015 16:27

Every S&B picture posted from now on should contain at least one goat Grin

Mummy2ben14 · 07/08/2015 16:28

In fact here's a clearer one Smile

I'm going to wear this today. I think model is wearing it the wrong way round.
DinosaursRoar · 07/08/2015 16:35

I think the seam down the middle of the skirt at the back (the bow side) will look terrible and draw attention to your crotch area if you wear it back to front.

Bow to the back, simple dress at the front, back detailing.

NaughtToThreeSadOnions · 07/08/2015 16:40

I'm sorry mummy you can tell that your wearing it back to front, it doesn't fit round the bust and it would look even more odd to see you from the back and you weren't wearing a long cardie.

lawisastar · 07/08/2015 17:35

I own this dress and the pineapple one and wear both with now at the front. I find it more flattering for my figure!!

burnishedsilver · 07/08/2015 17:45

Obviously wear the dress whichever way you're happiest mummy but it does look like its on back to front.

CherryBonBon · 07/08/2015 17:50

It looks obviously back to front.

And as it's a tea dress cut to hold boobs I dread to imagine what the back looks like when you take your cardie off.

There are so many clothing options available. Why oh why buy dresses and wear them back to front Confused.

TripTrapTripTrapOverTheBridge · 07/08/2015 20:08

sorry mummy but it's clearly back to front. The bust area isn't cut for your bust either and it would look dreadful from the back Blush

MsBojangles · 07/08/2015 21:31

I'm roaring with laughter at the goat, thank you mummy, I really needed that Grin

lougle · 07/08/2015 21:55

There's something wrong with me. I don't have the confidence to wear dresses forwards, let alone backwards! How do you get the confidence to do that?!

Sophieg24 · 07/08/2015 22:34

Hey, you bought it, it's yours now, it's whatever the f&@k you want it to be. Gorgeous dress by the way!

Dowser · 07/08/2015 22:43

Today I didn't wear it either way. It's been red hot today and went with the boob tube sun dress to top up for my tan!

Im thinking of removing the bow and wearing it as a v neck!

OP posts:
NaughtToThreeSadOnions · 07/08/2015 23:08

You're determined to wear it back to front aren't you, why did you buy it if your not going to wear it the way it's cut and designed to be worn?

Why did you buy it if your going to cut the design element off?!

Honestly don't do that you'd ruin the dress! If you want a very low cut v neck buy one!

Vatersay · 07/08/2015 23:32

Naught to be fair, it's her dress, she can wear it anyway she likes!

HolgerDanske · 07/08/2015 23:39

Bow at the back.

HolgerDanske · 07/08/2015 23:41

And I don't suppose it will work to wear it backwards as it won't sit right.

Goldbluemagenta · 07/08/2015 23:53

Just wear it however you feel it suits you best.

Nothing wrong in customising it as you wish.

Googlers123 · 08/08/2015 07:35

Laura from wit recently bought a lovely dress from m and s and wore it back to front, saying she preferred a high neck at the front and a v at the back. She has large boobs a and it surprisingly worked. She said she does this a lot. I'll try an find the link
