Easy curls/waves with just a product?

Is this even possible?
Ladies, I need help! I can't use straighteners successfully other than to straighten and then my shoulder length hair looks severe, curling tongs are a no chance, and twists fail me.
I'm not naturally good at this lady-like stuff... But I'd love to get some curls or waves on the go...

Is it possible just using a product? And which one?!

There's that new Tresemme shampoo and conditioner that's supposed to create waves? No idea if it's any good though - let me know if it is!

Otherwise I'm sure someone will be on in a minute to recommend a sock bun - can't get it to work myself though! I usually go to bed with 4 small buns, then use my wand in the morning!
