I would avoid this online shopping website at all costs (they also advertise under the name Selectsales Corp. Ltd.). I ordered four kitchen chairs which, when I came to assemble them, turned out to be faulty (one leg shorter than the others and a warped base making them unsafe to use). I tried ringing them at a number in London but there is only a recorded message saying all their agents are busy. I left several messages but nobody ever got back to me so I emailed. After several days, when I still hadn't received an answer, I contacted them via their online chat facility and Customer Services finally got back and told me I must not have inspected the chairs meticulously when they were delivered and, for this reason, they would not refund me. I pointed out (yet again)that the chairs looked fine when I unpacked them (as per Privatefloor instructions) in the presence of the driver and that there was no way I could have known they were faulty until I came to assemble them. However, despite having sent photos to illustrate the faults, I am still waiting almost three weeks later for Customer Services to get back to me. I have since found a great number of terrible reviews for them on Trust Pilot all along the same lines: shoddy goods, failure to respond to emails; refusal to refund. They are registered in the UK and so are subject to Trading regs here, but seem not to adhere to them. I believe they are based in Spain (this is where their Customer Services is based). I was wondering who to report them to?

Did you pay with a credit card? If yes, let them know and they'll handle it.
I've done it once and threatened a few times and it's very effective!

I'm sorry but the name of the company giving me problems is Selectsales Corp Ltd, not Secretsales. Selectsales also trade as Privatefloor. I have reported this error to Mumsnet but apologies to Secretsales for the error.

I was a tad surprised as I got some bargain designer jeans from Secret Sales & they are definitely based in London. Haven't needed to do a refund though.
I think your chairs need to have cost more than £100 to do the credit card claim; if so you can do the claim at the same time as complaining to Selectsales. Sounds as though you need to report them to Trading Standards as well as it seems fairly basic breach of the requirement that the goods are fit for purpose. A wonky chair is scarcely fit for purpose.

Thank you, LaCerbiatta and Djangor3725. I have just phoned my bank who will contact Privatefloor. I may get my refund yet! :)

Can I ask if anyone has purchased from a company called Myfaktory or Privatefloor - same company but trade under different names? They sell copies of designer lighting and furniture. Just ordered a very trendy wall lamp (£190!!) and it has faulty electrics, they will not answer my complaints. Just wondered if anyone else has had similar experience? Many thanks.
