Anyone experienced any side effects from taking silica?

My hair is falling out and have seen silica recommended. Has anyone experienced any hair growth elsewhere due to taking it?

A family member did but at the same time she was going through puberty so may not be linked.

No. It stopped my hairloss but there were no other effects.

What sort of silica is it? Tablets etc? How do you take it?

Tablets from holland and barret called silica complex. For hair skin and nails it says.

They're the same ones I took initially when my gp suggested silica but I notice it's in perfectil hair and nail vitamins too.
