Gel nails in pregnancy

Are they safe? I've booked to have mine done and the salon weren't very clear about the make of gel.

I had them done and DS was fine, I was quietly freaking out throughout though as the fumes are soooooo strong! Had mine done at 35weeks ish IIRC.

I'm not sure if they are safe but i wouldnt have them done before labour, my hospital said acrylics are fine but they can't get a read of oxygen levels through the gel
