Heels that are comfortable

I have never been able to find a pair of high heels (rather than wedges or blocky heels) that are actually comfortable and that don't kill the ball of my foot. I don't know if they all feel like that and other people just out up with the pain, or if I have stupid feet?!

I will admit to buying 'cheap' shoes (eg £15 New Look)-is it worth spending a bit more, might they be more comfortable?!

Can anyone recommend a brand to try that are nice (not Hotter!)?

LK Bennett heels have been a revelation for me - definitely not cheap but by far the comfiest high heels I've ever owned

They aren't exactly cutting-edge fashion, but I've always found Clarks and M&S heels to be pretty comfortable. I have one pair that I picked up for £15 from an M&S sale years ago that still gets compliments when I don them.

Don't think they come in different widths but they do seem to mould/stretch to your foot with a few wears. I can walk in mine all day as if I'm wearing flats which I've never been able to do with any other heel

I found one problem replaced another, I used to think I couldn't wear heels comfortably because of them pinching my wide feet and hurting the balls. When I did find ones that were comfy for my feet I found that my new found ability to stand in them was limited anyway as I started getting backache after the first half hour or so. I've given them up completely now. Sorry, that's not very helpful. My well fiting ones were from Clarks.

I wear heels all the time, but I've never found a pair that were particularly comfortable.

However, a friend suggested these a few years ago, and they are fantastic.

I have them for all of my heels now & they make wearing MOST heels bearable comfortable.

For some reason I always find Faith shoes really comfortable.

Another vote for LK Bennett here.

I've also stopped wearing cheap shoes as they're not worth the pain!

I've seen them in larger John Lewis and House of Fraser. There used to be an outlet in Gunwharf near me in Portsmouth but it's closed Last pair I got in Swindon at McArthur Glen for £70 down from £225!

I love M&S heels, definitely worth the money plus they fit better with half sizing.

For a dress for a wedding next month????

Oh the are beautiful! I love the pointed toe ones, so elegant. I have a pair of round tie in suede and I was worried they'd looked wrecked quite quickly but many many wears later they still look brand new.....I did treat them first though and don't wear them if it looks like rain!!

Another recommendation for LK Bennet, particularly the sledge. My feet don't get pushed forward so the ball of my foot does not ache.

They're quite high and i can still comfortably wear them all day. Not cheap but I have a 4 year old pair that don't have a mark on them. Well worth it imo.

I have them in nude and black, I love them!!

Oh and what whatever says, don't wear them in the rain, they have leather soles.

My feet are too wide for LK Bennett, a fact which has brought me a little sadness over the years!

My answer is Hush Puppies - honest! I've got several pairs of their shoe-boot styles but they have others. They're padded inside - fantastic

You can also try putting gel inserts in your shoes.
