Looks like the new shade of 'smoke' could be similar to graphite, any opinions on this?

Sadly not, although it is close it does not have the slight purple tint that graphite had. But keep an eye out on eBay because they are coming up more and more regularly at the moment

By the way I spend an afternoon in John Lewis make up department trying every single grey eyeliner to get a match to my tiny stub of graphite
