Does your mani match your pedi?

I don't usually bother painting my nails but I have a black tie do next week so plan to treat myself to a mani and pedi. Do you paint your finger nails and toenails the same colour or is that totally naff? Would it clash to do red fingernails, pink toenails? My dress is black.

Matching is a no-no to me.

I don't normally paint my nails but if I did would compliment rather than match.

Agree with Melon above - dark purple and dark red would look great with a black dress.

I am always painted and love a good clash. I tend to keep my toes red/pink/orange because I do them once a week, fingers get done twice or three times a week with whatever I fancy.

Depends on my mood and the outfit.

I wouldn't be inclined to do red and pink together.

I don't hardly ever match. I mostly like a blood red or black on my toes and my fingers are what ever colour mood I'm in. I was feeling summery until the pissing summer vanished so have been alternating between poppy, lilac or yellow colours.

IF do match - it's normally with an electric blue colour.

never match them. feet are usually blue/green/turquoise whilst hand are painted in various shades of red.

Never match, tend to go with nude colours on one and a bright or dark on the other, in summer it's usually nude fingers, bright toes. Red and pink only if the pink is a really subtle skin-tone type. For black tie I'd wear shoes not sandals though, so toes would be irrelevant.

Rarely match - I like grey or navy on my fingers but tend to stick with coral or hot pink on toes

Currently French manicure on fingers and dark red chipped on toes.

Toes have shellac on them all the time - currently blood red....They are re-done every 4 weeks :-)

I spend a lot of time barefoot when I'm training (swimming and boxing/kickboxing) so I like my feet to look nice!

No mani, cos one of my jobs stipulates that I can't. It probably wouldn't match my feet if I did have it done!

If I'm going out and dressing up, yes, my mani and pedi match. Usually red or gold.

Mine never match, it's dated looking. I never get pink nails, at the minute I have a purple shellac mani, and navy varnished toes. In summer I usually go glittery gold on toes as I'm in Oz and it looks nice at the beach, and usually turquoise or light blue fingernails.

I rarely have Mani but toenails are usually very dark navy in summer.
I am having Mani on Monday and will go for something totally different

I love a red-pink clash though, as long as it's a true red and a strong pink - nothing pastel.

Same here , don't like them to match , toes last 2 weeks so currently hot pink , mani is currently bright blue but I tend to change twice a week

No, never. I have my fingers done every 3 weeks and my toes every 6 weeks so they would be out of sync for 3 weeks anyway

Funnily I used to have them always matching when I did my own nails but now I don't like it.

I don't like them to match but I also don't like a massive clash - so colours which go together iyswim. I've currently got bright green gel toes and pastel green fingers, both look good with the bit of a tan I've picked up I think.
