Denim jacket alternatives?

I'm starting to come to the conclusion that, much as I might wish otherwise, I look shit in a denim jacket. And you can't wear them with jeans anyway...

What's a good alternative? I tend to live in skinny jeans, t-shirts and Converse/Vans lately because I have a small baby and anything else is too hard! I wear a lot of black and dark neutrals, esp on my top half. I'm 27, 5'1, size 10-12 with a fairly rotund chest.

Bomber jackets don't look right because they make me look round, and I'm really not a fan of blazers. I can't bring myself to wear hoodies outside the house.

I clocked this in Topshop yesterday and I really like it but think it's a bit bright for me: m.topshop.com/h5/product?productId=18460396

Anyone have any suggestions? Smile

toast I did see that shirt yesterday actually, I did dither over it but bought a black denim jacket instead. The jacket's going back so I might try that on!

I have fabric biker jacket, and some heavy knitted biker type jackets - there was some in the hush sale worth looking at.
Jersey blazer type jackets too are great

All saints have some nice options too.

you could always do a leather or faux leather biker

I have got a faux leather jacket but I think it's a bit warm for this time of year. Could look at a fabric one though Smile

I had a faux leather one, maybe it was the one I had but it was very sweaty and sticky and I ended up getting rid of t after a couple of wears. Would be wary of recommending faux leather for that reason!
Also have 'environmental friendly' leather (or some such marketing quote ) they re a designer label too, can't remember which, and find the same problem they re clammy and not so comfy on wearing.
Never have the same problem with real leather (though appreciate it s pricy). So I bit the bullet last year and got myself an all saints leather biker - worn it lots since.
(Am debating leather leggings though not sure I d get the same wear from them.)

Another option might be a summer parka - plenty out there at the moment - asos have nice ones, whistles and , comptoir worth a look too.

I love my leather jackets, but it's too warm for them at the moment. I have a couple of fabric bikers, which get a lot of wear. I also have a black cotton bomber jacket, but it feels a bit stiff compared to the bikers.

I have a cotton parka, which is good for cooler or wet days. Tbh though, I really like my denim jacket too - I wear it with black skinnies.

Shit me, I just looked at All Saints - I knew it was pricey by the cheapest jackets are over £100! Shock I do like some of them but way over budget unfortunately.

Just had a look at some summer parkas though and there are some good ones Smile might go for something kind of soft-utilitarian maybe.

Get a khaki type army one. eBay

I tend to wear linen shirts as jackets, I also have a raw silk one in navy which I've had for nearly 20 years - people still comment on it and ask where I bought it!
