Can you cleanse your face with E45 cream

Just wondering as it would be a way of saving money. I know E45 do a wash but to me it's a lot like the cream.

Yes , I use E45 wash, it's like a thick cream in a pump. It's wonderful stuff!

Can you use the actual cream as a cleanser. I once used the wash but the pump clogged half way down the bottle and I couldn't get anything more out. I have a huge pump tub of E45 CREAM and was wondering if I can use that as a wash aswell as a moisturiser.

I just use e45 wash frequently, don't rinse off too thoroughly and don't need a cream. It is the best skin product I have come across and seems to never end. Even when it seems finished I cut the bottle in half and there is still loads to scoop out!

I would imagine so op. My dcs have eczema and if they have a flare up we use oilatum emollient cream to wash with. (GPs recommend). The only thing I would say is it will probably be fairly moisturising, so wouldn't suit skin prone to clogging or oiliness.

Thanks all. I do have some Liz Earle cleanse and polish which is just about to run out. I do like it but think the E45 will be a cheaper option. Trouble is with Liz Earle once you try it you get hooked.

I've found the Superdrug hot cloth cleanser to be a great replacement for Liz Earle: my skin is just as good with it and it's only £5.99 (and frequently half-price, 3 for 2 etc). Not tried E45 as a cleanser so no help there!

I have used aqueous cream and E45 to cleanse face and body. No difference as far as I can tell except aqueous cream is a third of the price.

The Superdrug hot cloth cleanser is excellent. Most people on here recommend the vitamin E one, but it is too rich for me. I use the Naturally Radiant one and wouldn't pay Liz Earle prices now as the Superdrug one is just as good.

Another thumbs up for using aqueous cream as part of hot cloth method. Skin feels lovely and freshly cleansed, but not tight or dry (even on my sensitive skin). For the 'cloth' a bought loads of old school terry cloth flannels, I use a fresh one each day and bung them in the wash. Cheap as chips and great results!

Another convert to Superdrug Naturally Radiant from Liz Earle here but I have been known on many occasions to remove eye make up with the E45 cream in a big tub or tube
