supportive shoes

someone suggested I try Shoe Therapy for pumps with a bit of support in them.

I was wondering if anyone knows how they compare to Debenhams Good for the Sole brand? I actually don't find those supportive at all so there is no point going through the faff if they offer a similar level of support?

I may be super fussy due to a previous injury which means I normally prefer a shoe with a lot of "sole" so to speak.

ooh actually same question for Geox - seems expensive so if they are similar to that Debenhams collection, again, probably not for me.

I find Fitflops really comfy for the soles of my feet, my back and legs (I get sciatic pain) but I'd warn against buying online before you try. Not that most people are daft enough to do that (me excluded). For me, the soles are great but the uppers on some are way too wide and end up rubbing and cutting my feet.

I was really just looking for comfy pumps, I find putting a soft insole in isn't enough to keep me comfy all day in them. A poster suggested Shoe Therapy, which is mail order only, and also I heard good things about Geox. But having got some Debenhams "good for the sole" for £7 - yay - they aren't actually supportive enough for a whole working day.

That's why I was asking specifically if Shoe Therapy - who seem to promise a lot - are similar to the Debenhams brand. They do refunds but it looks as if I have to pay return postage which would be annoying.

PS - not annoying exactly, but you know what I mean

I've never tried Shoe Therapy, butterfly, but I'd be v suspicious of shoes that promised the earth and cost £7. If I were you, I'd get along to a department store with a wide range or your local sore feet shoe shop if you have one and try, try, try before you buy. My local John Lewis does Geox, Fitflop, Scholl and Hotter.

Agent - I'm not suggesting they promised the earth, just they are a brand that is meant to have good support so when I saw them for £7, I snapped them up. I do really like them and for £7, they were great. I think they do well compared to an average pump, just not enough for me.

My experience of pricey things is they are often pricey for no reason at all, hence I thought I'd ask if anyone had a direct comparison before ordering from ST.

I avoid shops like the plague I can't bear the crowds and so on. I'm in London and I'm pleased to say I haven't been to Oxford Street for years

I asked about Shoe Therapy because they seem to have a lot more info about the insides and quite a few colours that I like. I actually don't mind paying for a return because I would have paid to travel to the shop anyway and having them at home to potter in means that I get a better idea of what they are like as well.
