Electric Toothbrush System for the Whole Family?

Hi - thinking of getting an electric toothbrush system that the whole family (2 adults, 3 children aged 11-5) can use - the children have those Barbie / Spiderman £8 electronic ones currently but frankly they are crap and I am that you can't replace the heads. Very wasteful.

Anyone have any knowledge / recommendations of anything good? Is it ok to share a handle and have the 5 replaceable heads or is the hygiene of this a bit dubious? Unfortunately I am a 'if it smells ok it's good to eat' kind of person so I am willing to take advice from those with higher standards, frankly! Even I think that mouths are a bit germy...

We have the Phillips sonicare, two bases between four of us as DH works away so needs one of his own. Think it was bout £60 4 years ago and is still going strong, the heads come with different colour plastic discs so you can make sure they don't get mixed up.

Five people using one base could be a problem if you're all getting ready at the same time and being used 10 times a day would need to make sure it's charged fairly regularly. But from a hygiene point of view it's fine.
