meh

OP posts:
burnishedsilver · 11/07/2015 14:41

I thought it was beautiful.

BitterChocolate · 11/07/2015 15:23

The underwear flashing seems to be because she was holding the dress up for the hem to be fixed. I had a look on Daily Mail (but hurrah for me I didn't get caught up in 'the sidebar of trivia') and nearly half the photos were of the train or the veil being attended to. I think she would have been a lot less hampered if she had a shorter veil and shorter or no train at all.

As an aside, I have now written 'train' so often that it has started to look wrong. Is it spelt the same as a vehicle that runs on tracks or should I be using a different spelling?

LastUnicorn · 11/07/2015 15:29

She looked absolutely stunning, classy, elegant and timeless. Much better than the common, ill fitting strapless dresses most girls are wearing

MitzyLeFrouf · 11/07/2015 15:31

It seemed to me to be a bit like a Danielle Steele version of a society wedding. The dress that was a bit like Grace Kelly's and Kate Middleton's but with 100 times the lace. The reception that was as close to a royal residence as possible.

Sometimesjustonesecond · 11/07/2015 15:33

The style was a bit Kate Middleton imo and the veil was overkill with that much lace on the dress. Agree it would have been much prettier with a plain chiffon top but the shape was lovely and I do think she looked pretty.

MitzyLeFrouf · 11/07/2015 15:33

And yes OP she looked very doily like! Like she was being swallowed by a giant killer doily.

Twinklestein · 11/07/2015 15:48

I'm far more concerned that to outdo herself and become utterly classless there's a picture on the daily mail website with the dress hitched up so we can see her pants confused

The Daily Misogynist posting pics of women's pants, you do surprise me.

If you want class then don't read the DM.

MamaMary · 11/07/2015 15:48

Why does the bride look so miserable? She is not smiling in any of the photos.

MitzyLeFrouf · 11/07/2015 15:57

I think she's trying to look regally demure.

UrsulaBuffay · 11/07/2015 16:06

Her flowers were shit

Stevie77 · 11/07/2015 16:45

I thought it was beautiful. Loved the veil too.

Alibabsandthe40Musketeers · 11/07/2015 16:55

Bit weird though, to hire Kensington Palace and wear a nastier version of Kate Middleton's dress. Confused

They don't look happy in any of the photos, or even particularly interested in one another. Bizarre.

MitzyLeFrouf · 11/07/2015 16:59

It was a bit superfan wasn't it Ali?

LynetteScavo · 11/07/2015 17:02

I think she was trying to look Royal and didn't quite pull it off.

The skirt and veil are lovely, but the neck is awful. And the flowers aren't quite right. I've got a photo of my wedding flowers in front of me (also white roses) and they're so much nicer, especially the stems.

Heck5897 · 11/07/2015 17:04

I loved it. Very chic

Weebirdie · 11/07/2015 17:05

I thought her dress was beautiful but she should have had someone holding the train etc up on the way to the car rather than pose for photos and end up with her veil under the wheels of the car.

Mitzy yes, extremely so!

Twinklestein · 11/07/2015 18:28

I agree she needed bridesmaids holding her train all the way. She also needed a hook to hook the train to her sleeve after the ceremony.

Monica101 · 11/07/2015 18:31

I thought it was beautiful, really stunning.

If I ever get married I would love that style of veil.

Coastingit · 11/07/2015 19:45

The dress would be amazing on a demure Italian virgin bride, less so on a Hilton playing dress-up.

YoungBritishPissArtist · 11/07/2015 19:56

She's tried to capture the elegance of Grace Kelly's wedding dress; it's just not working Wink

Weebirdie · 11/07/2015 20:02

Well not with Cruella and Deville following up the rear in the car behind it wouldnt.

areyoubeingserviced · 11/07/2015 20:04

I think that her 'problem'is that she appears to be trying to be classy and royal.
The dress overpowered her, far too much lace . However, at least it wasn't one of those strapless numbers.
