Invisalign Teeth Straightening...

I am contemplating it, in my late 30s and my two top front teeth now cross over, allbeit alightly, but its still something I'd like to change. Has anyone used this treatment and is it worth the dosh?? Ta

I am in the middle of treatment now (crossed over front teeth and wonky fangs), should have finished it but I didn't wear my aligners enough so I've had to wait to get some new aligners which fit properly to finish the course.

My teeth are a lot straighter and would be fantastic - if I'd worn the aligners enough. When I have the aligners in they feel like a gum shield in my mouth and collect all the spit which can lead to visible bubbles in the trays. The edges of the tray cut my tongue lots of times and after the two week wear the trays are pretty much yellow. I also had to have unsightly blobs or buttons as they call them on my teeth which you can see and made me very conscious. The only upside I have found is you can take them off to eat but that led me to leaving them off for longer and longer.

Sooo.....all in all I would probably have gone for traditional braces given my time again but I think I will be very pleased with the results when I have finished the course.

My teeth were awful - very overcrowded & all kinds of problems, top & bottom.

Invisaligns went on 18 months ago & they are now 100% straight.

Someone I met recently actually complemented my 'beautiful teeth'. Something I NEVER dreamt I'd hear!

No problems at all with the trays, you really can barely see them. It does hurt though when your teeth are moving. A lot. 'Tis a cracking diet

I would say do your research & invest in the best cosmetic dentist you can find. I know a business acquaintance who had them the same time as me, and is much less pleased with the results.

Yes I am nearing the end of my invisilign treatment. I am in the refinement stage i.e finished the course but minor adjustments needed for perfection. It's very expensive and you have to be 100% committed. My ortho showed me a photo of my teeth before and how they are now. Wow...what an improvement. To start with I had problems with the retainers rubbing on the gums but after 5 days this will go. I also wondered why on earth I had decided to have them. However, the cost is enough to spur you on to the bitter end.
