I'm 41. I have thick, coarse, dry hair. I've spent my years avoiding hairdryers because I thought they'd damage my hair and make it drier and even more witch-like than it already is.
So I've always let it dry naturally and then lamented its awful coarse, wiry, dry state, and wondered why, in spite of using GHDs and BBHs, it still looked shit.
I'd go to the hairdressers and they'd leave it soft, smooth, silky and manageable and I'd wonder why I was so inept that I couldn't manage it.
Turns out it's down to the hairdryer. I had an epiphany when someone mentioned having to use one before they used their BBH on another thread.
I can't believe it. All these wasted years of sub-par hair.
