Spotty Boy

My ds is 14. He's suddenly very very spotty but it's confined to his forehead. He's really self conscious about it. We've been trying Neutrogena stuff but it all looks so sore and fiery and definitely not improving.

Does he just have to "go through it"? Or is there anything that works gently on teen spots. I'm reluctant to buy the over the counter brands as I've heard they can dry out the skin, cause scarring and make the situation worse.

TIA

Stop with the products sold for teenage spots, as most are too harsh and dry the skin making it look and feel worse. A great many soap washes can be very drying too.

Go see your GP, as it was the only way my spots got the right help!

I've listed a website that might help
acneacademy.org/

I have something called dalacin it's a spot solution with an antibiotic in it and alcohol (that's important as the solution has it but not the lotion and you need that)
So you could ask for that or something similar.
My dh uses it too if he gets spots!
