Clothes dye recommendations?

I have a lovely white cotton shirt. Sadly, on my first wearing of it I got a big stain which won't come out. So M thinking of dying it. Any brand recommendations or not tips?

I did this with machine Dylon after a lovely pale blue cotton shirt was washed with a new, bright yellow J cloth (!!! What was my husband thinking?)

Worked brilliantly. Run the machine empty afterwards to get rid of the dye. Also, the colours tend to come out darker/brighter than you'd expect, so choose accordingly.

Be aware that the stitching will not dye, so it has top stitching it will all stay white.

Yes, as pax says, if your cotton garment is sewn with polyester cotton it won't take the dye. Also, if the stain hasn't come out, the colour may be deeper there because the stain makes it darker.

I'd be tempted to keep trying to get the stain out.

My lastly ditch attempt before throwing out or dyeing is to us mould & mildew remover which contains a mild bleach, keep an eye on it and rinse as soon as the stain seems to have disappeared. Worst case you end up having to dye
