Quick advice needed...How are we all feeling about flares?

Night out at a casual spot with a young and fairly trendy crowd.

I've got a pair of dark blue flares that are floor skimming if I pair them with my favourite pair of wedges. Planning to wear these with a crochet/lace vest top.

In my head I will totally rock a 70s vibe perfect for a balmy evening but in reality???

Should I just play it safe boring with a shift dress and some heels??

Wear the flares! I got some paisley print ones from zara and wore with miumiu wedges from years ago, a cropped black high necked top and a second hand gold medallion thing I have that I love and I got loads of compliments including from a few random men in the street, which hasn't happened for a good while!
Life is too short not to wear things you want to wear!
