I know, it's a bloody tutu!
But i absolutely love it and it's an old Google image and it's not on sale anywhere that I know of, I'd be very grateful if you spared your laughter and could just point me in the right direction :)

Yes i noticed the ebay one but I'm too wary of eBay to buy anything on there.

The Elsie's attic ones look pretty but hard to tell shape and fit when theyre not on a person. Also says they take 4-6 weeks and would like it sooner so I can find a top. I'm truly hopeless at matching clothes!

Id love to wear one during the day with flats, yes, the school run too Smile

CakeNinja · 04/07/2015 08:38

Well do it!
I do know a dressmaker and she's fabulous but she lives in another country :(

This?

OrangeMochaFrappucino · 04/07/2015 09:07

Oh no, I want to buy everything on the Elsie's Attic site!

Luckytohavemybaby · 04/07/2015 09:11

You've got me wanting one now!

PurpleDaisies · 04/07/2015 09:15

I've been wanting one for ages too... I've got a dress from this website which has a selection of beautiful tutus. The only thing that has stopped me buying is indecision over which colour!

NashvilleQueen · 04/07/2015 09:20

I think it's a lovely look. looks v comfy too

brusselsproutwarning · 04/07/2015 09:42

The poppyengland one in the sea blue is beautiful!

CakeNinja · 04/07/2015 09:53

Agree, love the sea blue one.
I saw that one on asos but I wanted one with slightly stiffer material if that makes sense. I don't want it sticking out but would like it to puff out a bit more.
Thanks everyone for all your suggestions, you lot are flipping amazing!
And BUY TUTUS - the world would probably be a much nicer place if we all just wore a tutu from time to time Grin

Cake it's not awful at all! I hope you find the perfect skirt. Some brilliant suggestions on here and I can't suggest any better but I read your other thread and please you've found a style to go for. :)

CakeNinja · 04/07/2015 12:15

Thanks ilove that's such a sweet post :)
I'm not very fashion orientated at all and imagined it was quite a ridiculous outfit to go for, but I tend to wear what I like regardless.
It was quite a revelation how many people also like the tutus!

I don't know this company, but the product looks good

Trills · 04/07/2015 12:40

If the ebay one is the right size, I would definitely go for it.

There's a pcture of the real skirt as well as the stock photo.

penny13610 · 04/07/2015 12:40

To get a puffy look you often have to layer with a petticoat. Once the tutu has been washed a few times it tends to soften, spray starch is your friend. Perfect for school run and work. Just add plimsolls.
I may have half a dozen lurking in my wardrobe Wink

Ilovetorrentialrain · 04/07/2015 14:57

Cake what are you thinking for a top? I love the look in the pic, i.e. quite casual (is it a t shirt?).

IHaveBrilloHair · 04/07/2015 15:01

I want one now.

brusselsproutwarning · 04/07/2015 15:38

Oooh yes let's talk tops for tutus! I think it would have to be a bit fitted and tucked into waist of tutu? Not a leotard ! Too ballerina like and I'm am not built like a ballerinaSmile

Jemimapuddleduk · 04/07/2015 20:02

Oh I love this look, beautiful! I am envious of my toddlers tutu collection! I have one from Karen Millen around 12 years ago but alas I am not thin enough for it now. I may have to buy one of the Elsie's attic ones, they are stunning. Just not sure of I have the right occasion to wear it!

God, I shouldn't have opened this thread. I really really want a grey one

DrLego · 04/07/2015 20:24

I have a skirt just like this but with sparkles on it I think.. and a sheer overlay in a taupe kind of colour I think they called it mink. It's 10+ years old (!) from monsoon and never worn (sob) in a box somewhere but may have been sent in said box elsewhere.. it's a size 8 (but a generous 8 if I recall) free if I can find it..!

DrLego · 04/07/2015 20:38

ah, yes, I know where it is.. but can't get it before 22/23 July as won't be going there till then.. I don't keep many things I remember keeping it because I loved the colour, silk & knee or just below knee length and tutu-ish underneath

in the meantime, good luck in the quest!

InQuiteAPickle · 04/07/2015 20:42

No laughter from me, in fact I think that I have something similar in my Pinterest Smile. I'd love to wear something like that but wouldn't have the balls.
