As a fragrance for your wedding?

And if there are any fragrance lovers out there, what would you recommend for me? I'm totally clueless!

I love quite deep woody smells (I think, rubbish at describing them) And also quite sweet vanilla tones - not too keen on florals. I usually wear Tierry Mulger Alien, and love Angel but it's too much for day-to-day. Also love a Patachouli (sp?!) scent that I saw in M&S the other day. And in my yoof I used to wear Gucci Rush/2. And a period of a Kylie Minouge one - sweet darling?

I want to go to Fenwicks at the weekend to sniff some, but no idea which ones to zone in on.

I'm obsessed with Jo Malone perfume so it will be one of hers, not sure which though!

I've heard a lot of good things about them, but never actually smelt one. I'll have to look for local stockists x

They're gorgeous and unusual. I don't like sweet perfumes at all and she has loads of fresh, unusual fragrances.

Why don't you wear your usual scent? I did (if I wore any, which I can't actually remember) - but there's no point recommending it because it's out of production and is fairly unusual (Liz Taylor's Black Pearls).

I have no idea. I can't remember.

My lovely Dad (now sadly no longer with us) bough it or me especially. He wanted a scent that would never age or go out of fashion. So I could always wear and it and remember my wedding day. And, as it turned out, it also reminds me of my Dad.

boudoir by Vivien Westwood, it was the first perfume my Dh ever bought me so not weddiny but had special memories!

Chanel Coco Mademoiselle - it was the perfume I wore everyday then.

I wouldn't wear a perfume you don't usually wear as it may give you a headache.

White linen Estée Lauder

I bought black opium but my BM (sister) felt sick when I wore it so ended up wearing my insolence.
I second jo Malone for more unusual fragrances wild fig and cassis is in the woody family and is lush

I wear Alien regularly too (my all-time fave, wore it on my wedding day) but my other fave is For Her by Narciso Rodriguez. Lovely scent.
