And I look like a clown

Oh god. I've paid for her to come on the day and do it too.
So unprofessional. She had to go in the other room and do an intimate wax while I waited for 20 minutes.

I could cry

In fact if I cried it would still leave this muck on my face.
I'm worried now I've spent the money and I won't get it back and I do NOT want to look like this on my wedding day.

Op I just thought of something. Several years ago when I wanted to have my make up done for an event I went into several large department stores in my city and looked for the assistants who had fantastic make up themselves. When I'd spotted my favourite one I asked her to do my make up. It worked out brilliantly!

Tell her you must have had a reaction to the make-up and your skin has been itchy. You can't risk that on your wedding day can you? Oh and 'can I have full refund please'?

First off, if I were in your shoes, I would have the pictures removed - it is not hard for the makeup lady to identify you with these pictures on the internet for everyone to see.

Just tell her that a good friend has offered to do your makeup and that you would like to do that instead. You don't need to tell her that you don't like what she did and that you weren't happy with the service.

I think it is hard to compare the pictures as the first one looks very heavily edited - my phone has that option on the selfie mode. It cannot be compared with a picture that has not been edited.
However, if you don't like the products and look you were given despite telling her what you wanted, then you shouldn't even have to provide pictures to random people on the internet to justify it.

If you would rather do your makeup yourself, then do that. If you buy new products, make sure you get them as soon as possible so you can test them out and make sure they will last all day. Also make sure products like foundation do not flash back when flash photos are taken of you as that will not look great.

The make-up by the MUA doesn't look remotely clownish, btw- it just doesn't look especially professional. I definitely wouldn't pay someone to make me up like that.

I had a very similar experience and hated the trial done before my wedding. I too hate confrontation but managed to say I wasn't happy; they made some excuse about the right products not being in and apologised for poor professionalism (woman was quite rude) and I had another trial booked free. I cancelled.

Then I went into town having resolved to do my own and needing some decent makeup and lessons where I found the smashbox counter and an amazing assistant/college student, who ended up doing it for me on the day. And I looked beautiful dh didn't recognise me

Have a wonderful wedding day.

I agree that you should cancel - looks very unprofessional. If you can't get a refund maybe ask if you can at least use the money towards something else such as waxing / nails / hair at a different time?

I don't think the foundation is too heavy in the 1st pic for a wedding at all. With nerves, possible heat, lots of photos...you need goood last foundation coverage that will show up well!

The make up you've done yourself looks lovely, I know you said you wanted it done professionally so it stays put etc but if after the trial its sliding already, that's not going to happen if you proceed.

I'd cancel and say that you've decided due to timings and cost you ate going to do your own.

What about seeing if you can find someone to to the airbrush foundation thingy for you and then do the rest yourself. A good, long lasting base is the most important part in my opinion. You will then look more like "you" on your wedding day.
