Also I have quite cracked skin on my hands from eczema so I have to be careful not to get really stained hands.

Thanks

I'm on my third day of garner gradual tan moisturiser (I think it's called, have a baby attached to my boob so can't go check)

I'm paler than pale, think violet hue, and went for the lighter colour. Three consecutive days and it's definitely noticeable without being orange. No missed bits yet, I'm hoping due to the applications layering up then I won't have that problem as I haven't ventured into the world of fake tans since a tanning wipe disaster aged 15 saw me trying to slough off my skin with bail varnish remover and a pumice stone. Looking back I think orange stripey legs would have been a lot less noticeable at the school disco than graze shin bones and chemical burns Blush. Not sure why I didn't think to change my outfit and wear trousers either! I digress...

So, day three and there's definitely a natural looking colour, more skin colour than bronzed goddess, but that's better than purple. I would like a little more colour but based on the fact I'd rather be adding to the tan than desperately trying to remove it I'm skipping this evenings and trying it in place of my usual moisturiser ever other day or every three days depending on the results.

I bit the bullet yesterday and bought the Clarins one where you add drops to your own body lotion.
I will let you know.

st tropez mousse - I can't find any better. Don't know how you can all be bothered with gradual tanners. Once a week (using almost the exact method described as villianous) is plenty (I can actually go once a fortnight as I find the mousse very long lasting).

Honestly? I'd have a four minute sunbed and then a week later another four minute.

I am also using Garnier Summer Body and I am very impressed, especially as I bought it on offer and it was £3 something for a big bottle.

It's a very nice natural golden colour, not a hint of orange, would definitely recommend.

Just bought some Avon skin so soft spray on gradual tan. They call it an "airbrush" ... its like a dry oil mist. Goes on really nicely. You build it up over a few days.

I never buy fair fake tan - it doesn't deliver much tan imo or comes out a weird yellow colour. I buy medium and use sparingly.
