Zara Jeans Sizing

Say I'm a 12 in Topshop, what size should I get in Zara? Are they sized generously?

Ok, got a size 38. Zara's sizing is all over the place. Got two 38s, one ended up too small, the other 38 is perfect, and the 40 is too big.
