Slight hairdressing disaster for DD

I straightened DD's hair (for the first time) - she is mixed race

& it was great, you could comb it & brush it so easily apart from the last half inch which needed a trim as it was all split ends

So we had it cut - & it was lovely.....and then she washed it & it went curly

& it's all different lengths Sad

Hairdresser will re-cut on Monday no problem - but should we have anticipated it?

Katymac, maybe it's not different lengths, just some parts have tighter curls.

Have a look at the curly girl method of hair care for some ideas about how to manage curly hair.

There are lots of threads here about it. Hth.

We have curly girled for years; we just never straightened before (which is pretty good considering she is 17!!)
