Kiko cosmetics. Any good? recommendations?

I'm on holiday and have found a Kiko cosmetics shop in the local shopping centre. I vaguely recall hearing about Kiko in the past and I had a quick look and it all seems so cheap! Didn't have time for a proper browse though so am going back over the weekend so just wondering if there are any must-have Kiko products that I should check out.

Thanks.

I bought one Kiko lipstick in Spain 2 years ago and LOVED it... It was such a vibrant colour and stayed on all day.
I was gutted I didn't buy more stuff, although I know you can buy online.

I'm going to Portugal in a few weeks and will stock up on loads. Cheap as chips Smile

Enjoy your holiday Smile

I already had a mini splurge in Sephora a few days ago but the Kiko stuff seems so cheap that I'd hate to miss out on a bargain.

I like the lip liners, they have a great range of colours.

I also have a couple of the lipsticks (I'm sorry I've forgot the name- but in a silver tube). They don't budge for hours once you put them on.

nickdrakeslovechild · 25/06/2015 22:21

Lipsticks, single eyeshadows and the really cheap eyeliners are fantastic. Not so keen on the nail polish and I usually LOVE polish. Happy shopping I do love a good shop in Kiko.

Amarena · 25/06/2015 22:41

I have many of the single eyeshadows - lots of pigment and long lasting. I like matt eyeshadows and theirs aren't drying or don't drag on the skin.

I've also got one of the eyeliners, white tube, push up type. Brilliant. I have put aside my Urban Decay 24-7 for this!

Have fun!

I have a Kiko shop near me.
Their products look nice and not expensive.
I've only bought a gold shimmery nail varnish and I use it again and again.
I'll have to go back and try out some other bits.

QueefOfTheSporned · 26/06/2015 06:21

Liking the idea of lippy that stays put. there seems to be lots of different lipstick types though. Are they all long lasting or is there a particular one I should be looking for?

I love push up eyeliners so will definitely have to have a few one of those.

There's q Kiko shop in Leeds if anybody is near there.

Dellabob123 · 26/06/2015 09:14

Recently purchased lippy and nail varnish and both lovely. And yes, soooo many lipstick choices.

Greenrabbit · 26/06/2015 09:18

This is the lipstick that lasted well. All the other seem to have good reviews too.

Enjoy your shopping trip.

Brilliant! Thanks for the link Greenrabbit

Their eyeshadow is great.
The foundation I like from them has been discontinued sob but also good.

Nail polishes used to be crap but have been reformulated and I've read good things.

GERTgert06 · 26/06/2015 11:53

I have several Kiko nail varnishes. The colours are great!

nickdrakeslovechild · 26/06/2015 20:43

ooh just remembered another thing, their glass nail file is just as good as the expensive leighton Denny one. I buy a few whenever I am in store for presents and one for all round the house, they are so good and cheap as chips.

QueefOfTheSporned · 28/06/2015 08:53

Thanks for the recommendations everyone. I'm going shipping today. Going home tomorrow so remaining holiday spends are burning a hole in my pocket!

I may be some time...

The stick/crayon type shadows are great- would stay put in a nuclear winter, same with pencil liners. I find the nail polish ok, stays out as much as any other and a great range of colours

PurpleWithaMysteryBun · 28/06/2015 10:01

I have one glittery eyeshadow crayon/ stick and it stays on all day. I absolutely love it!

QueefOfTheSporned · 28/06/2015 18:32

I think we can declare that a successful raid on Kiko shopping trip. AND they had a sale on so some items were half price!

I came back with...
A lipgloss pencil
A glass nail file
5 lipsticks (2 are for friends)
2 push up eyeliners
1 nail polish
2 eye shadows
A kabuki brush

13 items for the pricely sum of €63.50! (About £46)

I have to go back to the shopping centre again tomorrow. I may not be finished yet....

I discovered Kiko recently following a recommendation on here.

I'm currently using the medium BB cream as a replacement for benefit tinted moisturiser that's been discontinued. Also liking the liquid eyeliner in a dark green / grey colour.

After reading all this, I'll be trying a few more bits!

HelpMeGetOutOfHere · 28/06/2015 21:15

There's a Kiko store in reading as well, in the oracle.
I've brought a few eyeliners from there and keep meaning to have a splurge but don't get into reading that much.

FrugalFashionista · 07/07/2015 16:46

I'm seriously impressed with these Kiko lipsticks - I was able match my old Chanel shade and they feel nicer on than my Nars Audacious. They are neither velvet or fully matte but comfortable and longwearing, and the price is unbeatable.

I bought two eye pencils and one eye liner in search of a sweatproof pencil. Only the liner does not smudge and budge in hot weather.

maybemyrtle · 07/07/2015 17:40

Love their pencil eyeliners, I have a glamourous 414 and a smart 801...and have just seen that they are even cheaper at the moment!

Thank you mumsnet I may have to place an order now.

QueefOfTheSporned · 07/07/2015 20:21

I am so impressed with the lipsticks! The staying power is far beyond any of the hundreds of (much more expensive) brands I've tried in the past and they feel lovely on.

I've only tried a couple of bits so far but their felt tip lip stains are really good and I really love their Precision liquid eyeliner. The applicator is really thin but quite firm so you get a really precise and adjustable application with it.

FrugalFashionista · 08/07/2015 22:03

I snapped up this dune-like baked blush in a wooden box, a rare fairly cool-toned mauve (lamplight picture veers warm) and on sale so it cost almost nothing. I love baked blushers and stripy stuff for creating depth, and it's another impressive product. I have to say I've really enjoyed using it.
