Do you wear mascara on your bottom lashes?

That's it really.

I don't as I find they become really thick and spidery, and all I can see is my eyelashes when I look in the mirror. But I wonder if I need a different mascara to my top lashes.

No just the top lashes.

Picachew · 24/06/2015 19:33

Instead of sweeping the brush through the bottom lashes and lengthening them, just place the mascara wand at the top of the lashes to colour them. Genius.

CainInThePunting · 24/06/2015 19:38

Top and bottom, I don't like the clumpy look either so it's just a light coat.

ShuShuFontana · 24/06/2015 19:44

My lower eye lashes are really long too, and as PP have said, the sixties Twiggy look is not coming back any time soon

I just rest the mascara brush on them after I have done the top ones and just shimmy it across them to get a bit of colour.

Latest mascara is a creepy one though so I have to get a different one,, but a "panda check" at lunchtime usually means I catch any creepage.

WhirlpoolGalaxyM51 · 24/06/2015 19:48

No never have. I have tried it on them a couple of times, but it's too much. I'm very fair / blonde hair and biggish blue eyes and it makes me look a bit like one of those russian dolls.

Having said that I am finding as I get older that my face can take / looks better with more makeup than it used to - I can now wear quite bright lipsticks which in my 20s looked OTT - so maybe I'll give it a go again one of these days Smile

BloomWherePlanted · 24/06/2015 20:48

keepon what mascara do you use?

Judydreamsofhorses · 24/06/2015 20:55

Not always - my lashes are pretty long and dark - but sometimes the Clinique bottom lash one.

TealFanClub · 24/06/2015 20:56

yes

you weurdis

sonata1 · 24/06/2015 20:59

Yes I do. I tried leaving it off and I looked odd. I use Max factor masterpiece max ( after leaving it out of the tube for about 30 secs) and eyelash curlers on the top. Any smudges are picked up with a cotton bud.

Doobigetta · 24/06/2015 21:03

Yes, my eyes look weird if I don't.

TheCowThatLaughs · 24/06/2015 21:14

Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't
I seem to be unusual in not really having strong feelings either way, and I don't look weird with it without lower lash mascara (or I don't think I do anyway)

hollieberrie · 24/06/2015 21:16

No, i just put a bit of eyeliner crayon against the lashline instead.

I am very blonde and find that black, thickening mascaras just look way to dramatic on me. Any recommendations for a fairly natural mascara that doesn't give an overly made up look?

Ankleswingers · 24/06/2015 21:17

No, I would look ridiculous . I don't like the look either.

Looserella · 24/06/2015 21:23

No, it would be too much and I'd probably end up panda eyed

MamaLazarou · 24/06/2015 21:26

No, it looks weird on me.

rubybleu · 25/06/2015 10:50

Yes because I've got blonde, very long but thin eyelashes.

I use Lancome Defincils. I was taught by my mum to hold the brush at the top of the bottom lash and just wiggle it a bit as opposed to brushing it through.

WhoreGasm · 25/06/2015 11:01

But of course. But only touch them with what's left on the brush from doing my upper lashes.

Doing top and bottom lashes makes my eyes look properly framed and defined. I have been tried all premium brands of mascara but always go back to Max Factor Masterpiece Max.

sonata1 · 25/06/2015 14:08

WhoreGasm...I am in awe of your user name ! LOL. Yes ,Max Factor Masterpiece Max is the Dog's doo dahs. Think I picked that recommendation up from MN S&B and have never looked back.

diggerdigsdogs · 25/06/2015 14:47

Depends what I'm doing with the rest of my make up.

If yes then Clinique bottom lash mascara only

WhoreGasm · 25/06/2015 17:05

"WhoreGasm...I am in awe of your user name !"

Why thank you Smile

Over the years I have tried Chanel, Lancôme, Dior mascaras but nothing can touch MaxFax Masterpiece Max and it's half the price.

At the weekend my Aunt asked if I was wearing false eyelashes Shock But nope it was just my trusty MaxFax. I loves it, I does Smile

LoadsaBlusher · 25/06/2015 20:14

Yes I do
If I'm ever doing an au naturel look , I will skip it , but that is very rareGrin

RattleAndRoll · 26/06/2015 22:42

I've trusted those who mentioned the masterpiece max mascara and have bought it today. Hopefully I'll have nice bottom (and top!) lashes tomorrow Smile
