Cheap alternatives to Redken Shampoo and Conditioner.

Ladies, I'm hoping you can help!
I currently use Redken for my long (boob-length) hair which is very prone to dryness and tangling and is coloured (brunette, almost the same as my natural colour, just to conceal the few greys that are starting to appear). I also apply Argan Oil to damp hair before blow drying. However, Redken is £13 per bottle for both the shampoo and the conditioner, and I'm now on maternity leave and on a tight budget. I need an alternative, and I don't want to spend more than £5 per bottle. I need to wash my hair every day as I muck out my horses and it makes your hair smell, so I need something that won't wreck my hair condition (it's currently lovely and soft and manageable) but also won't break the bank...all suggestions gratefully received!

I used Redken for about 15 years, then I went on mat leave and switched to Elvive colour protect and Aussie miracle moist conditioner and haven't switched back.

I still use a Redken treatment every few weeks but have realised it really wasn't worth the money!

I also always wash my hair everyday. I've found with Redken though that it is so concentrated you only need a tiny amount and it's sometimes a false economy buying cheaper products. Redken actually often lasts way way longer. I usually buy the huge 1 litre pump bottles for about £22 each and they last forever. Is this an option for you at all? I know it's an initial expense but I've found it cheaper in the long run.
If not, I've found the l'oreal evercreme range in the gold packaging is excellent. It's usually about £5 a bottle but nearly always on offer somewhere 2 for £5. Ogx is another very good brand and is about £3-4 I think. Again, always on offer somewhere. Smile

Meant to add that the new dove dry oil shampoo and conditioner is also excellent. Smile www.boots.com/en/Dove-Advanced-Hair-Series-Pure-Care-Dry-Oil-Shampoo-250ml_1498703/?cm_mmc=pla--google--PLAs-_-Boots+Shopping+-+Category+-+Toiletries

That's true Redken definitely lasts a lot longer so it could be a false economy

L'Oreal own Redken, Kerastase, Elvive and L'Oreal, so quite often they duplicate the formulas across the lines. Have you tried L'Oreal's sulfate free range? They are as good as Redken.
