I have a body, I'm looking for a bikini, can you recommend something supportive and practical?

I have a body, it's off to the beach (UK) and I'm an optimist so in looking for a bikini.

I'm thinking something fairly supportive/ secure for playing around with the dcs. Nothing expensive as it may rain all holiday and stay in the suitcase!

I'm 5 foot 2, size 8-10, with short legs/ long body (another reason for a bikini rather than swim suit). I've not got a 6 pack or even a flat stomach. It is the slightly squidgy, gently rounded stomach that carried 2 big babies and enjoys cake and chocolate! Grin
I'm a 30dd but boobs still feel/look small to me and don't cope well without support! Blush

Buy separates on eBay some
Lovely Freya or Panache ones at a fraction of the high streets.

Fantasie is another brand that is made by the same people as Freya. Very good quality - My first one has seen about 15 beach holidays where I've worn it pretty much every day including waterparks and is only now starting to look a little faded.

Hellishly expensive at full price (£60 for a bikini) but can be got for a much more reasonable £20 to £30 on ebay. Lovely supportive bra sized tops and you can often get bottoms in a range of styles/shapes.

Bravissimo have THE best bikinis ... Im busty, fairly chuncky but can still hack a bikini they fit them to your bust size. AND they look modern and on trend not frumpy at all

i bought a nice bikini from House of Fraser in the sale recently. It is a Fantasie. I wouldn't ever spend £60+ on a bikini, but at half price I thought it was worth it.

Nice high pants, and a proper bra top with shoulder straps.

Also rate one I bought from New Look a couple of years ago - it's from Kelly Brook's range- so the sizings are good. Actual cup size top. It's pretty sturdy actually despite being pink, frilly and a halter neck.

That was much cheaper.

Agree with what everyone else has said. Plus Hoola.

Bollocks. Are they selling off all the swimwear already. We haven't really had summer yet and those of us who holiday in September are fucked then aren't we Hmm.

Never mind, ebay it is then. Much cheaper anyway and more sizes available.

I have just bought a couple from River Island, which seem good quality, supportive but not frumpy and in some great prints.

Agree with iwantgin - the Kelly Brook @ new look ones are good and very resonably priced.
