One nail, middle finger, but on both hands. A few mm in from one side of the nail it splits. All the time. I file the split bit away (gently, filing in only one direction) and the next day it will split again.
My nails are a bit dry, I try to remember to put cuticle oil on them but it is only ever the nail on the middle finger that splits.
