What can I do about it? Will a product like sun in help? Any advice?

Yes head and shoulders or washing powder ! ( plenty of conditioner if the latter ) it does work :)

ariel liquid and let it dry in the sun if you have any!

I find olive oil (or any vegetable oil will do) helpful, comb through hair (enough to saturate it) leave for at least half an hour, then wash several times with head and shoulders, or a stronger detergent (I've never used washing powder on my hair I'd be a bit scared too!)

if you swim the chlorine in the pool will also help to fade it

Oh my word, step away from the Sun In!

Wash your hair repeatedly in Head & Shoulders, it's great for stripping colour.

Go swimming. It works. :askmehowIknow: Hmm

Rumours -it may be too late but in case it's not - I tried a semi for the first time in my life and had the same problem. MNers saved me - I had some bicarb soda and clarifying shampoo in the house. Made a paste, kept it on for 45 mins, washed out and literally saw the worst of the colour come off. Need a lot of conditioner after. Apparently crushed Vit C tablets do the same. Good luck.

Head and shoulders worked a treat for me. I left it on for an hour or so with a shower cap on. (Very appealing) Then when rinsing off the colour came out so much it was just like I originally wanted.

Fairy liquid works a treat!

scribblegirl · 21/06/2015 22:20

Another vote for H&S, that stiff works a treat
