Alternative to face wipes?

Leaflitter · 20/06/2015 21:57

I use face wipes every night to remove eye makeup (I rarely wear foundation so it's mainly eyes that need it).

I'd like to find an alternative as they seem very wasteful (not in terms of cost, but wrt binning one each time).

I wear contacts so I'm not too keen on cotton wool because of the fibres.

My skin is fairly dry. Any recommendations?

Use a cleanser then wash off?

Baby oil and cotton wool

What about a microfibre cloth with some cream or balm cleanser?

dementedpixie · 20/06/2015 22:09

I use micellar water and cotton wool pads

Baby wipes!

I'd suggest a hot cloth cleanser. This will remove the eye make up and cleanse the rest of your face. There are loads around at varying prices. For example Superdrug own brand ones are good as are the BS chamomile ones.

I second Micellar water. It removes all my eye make up really easily.

Micellar water (I like Vichy but DD loves the Simple one) used with cotton wool pads, preferably the big plain square baby ones from Boots - no fibres, no rough patterns (Tesco, I'm looking at you) just soft smooth cotton wool!

Shu Uemura cleansing oil and a muslin cloth.

Creamy or any cleanser with a face flannel to wipe off
