What shaped crop trousers for tall, top heavy person?

I have always struggled to find cropped trousers that look good. I am tall, top heavy - broad shoulders, big boobs, broad back - a kinda flabby tummy and upper thighs, and skinny legs. I suit straight leg trousers and jeans, but I live I France and cannot handle wearing full length trousers all summer. But I cannot find a crop stile to suit me - anything tapered / Capri style makes me look horribly top heavy and anything wider fitting looks daft with my skinny ankles and feet sticking out the bottom. Any ideas what styles to look for?

Try Gap tailored crop trousers. The leg is reasonably wide (wider than it looks on the website) and they come in tall sizes.

I'm the same build as you and I found this hard too. I settled for Gap slim cropped trousers in Tall. The length should be 7/8 and not shorter or anywhere near mid calf. Wearing heels helps to balance your top half. Hope this helps.
