tan lines, being stripey and fake tans

before I start I'm well aware this is a ridiculous problem to have, and I'm very fortunate!!
my skin tans ridiculously easy, the slightest bit of sun and whatever I'm wearing will cause me to have tan lines and end up being stripey Grin normally I don't care, but this summer there is a family do, quite posh, to which the dress I have to wear is strapless

the obvious but impractical answer us to cover up from head to toe until after the big day. but I am already a bit stripey on the chest and shoulders

never having had to use a fake tan I am a bit bewildered by the range. do those spray booth things work, would it accentuate the stripes even more?

help please?

I'm like you and tan really quickly, I don't intend to it's just general pottering outside that does it. I've tried to fake tan to blend tan lines and I can't make it work, not to say it won't if you have an expert do it. I had to lose shoulder strap lines once to wear a strapless dress and for weeks before hand I wore strapless tops. Or cover up and exfoliate like mad!

yeah, all I have to do is potter, can't stand sunbathing!

I have the opposite problem and so I'm a fair old fake tan expert. I don't think you will manage to blend lines of real and fake tan. I think the best you might be able to do it apply the fake tan all over and lessen the contrast of your tan lines. I reckon you'd better run about in the nip till the wedding. Bitch. Grin

I'll only be running about in the nip if I need you scare off some burglars Grin

LOL, didn't look at this thread since I posted and had a sudden horror moment "I called the girl a bitch! OMG! What if she doesn't think it's funny??!"

If you go out in the garden in a strapless top with factor 50 on the parts that are already tanned you might be able to even it up. I had tan lines on my ankles from being out in running shorts, runners and sport socks. Fake tan didn't work but an afternoon in the garden with leggings and no shoes sorted it.

thanks all. I think people are going to be playing noughts and crosses on my back Grin
