Cheap dress for a smart wedding?

I've got a black tie wedding coming up and would love to buy something new, but my budget is limited, say 50 quid. Any hope of me finding something smart and gorgeous for that? I'm an hourglass 12/14, suit vintage styles but open minded.... Any ideas would be much appreciated.
